My mother-in-law, Mary, is doing well. She is about to be moved to a rehabilitation center where they will continue her physical therapy, which is extremely painful. She is having a really hard time with all of this. Not only because of the physical pain she is in but if you know my mother-in-law, you know she is not a sit-around kind of gal. This woman is on the Go CONSTANTLY. I cant tell you how many times she has been out of the country or away for the weekend just this year!!! Being stuck in her bed depending on other people for EVERYTHING is like being in prison for her!! She is ANGRY!! And understandably so!! I know she will make a speedy recover, that’s just the type of person she is, but please pray for her sanity during this difficult time!


Jason is doing well. I am so proud of him for how he’s handled EVERYTHING so far. He has been the supporting son every mother hopes to raise!! Obviously Mary did something right!!!

He helped hold a rally on Monument circle in downtown Indianapolis last Friday to support the victims and they had over 1,000 people show up!!! He was even on the news!! He was out there with petitions making sure no one will forget what happened that day!!

We are leaving to go back this Friday to be with her. I’m excited to see her. Last weekend I stayed home when Jason went, so I could spend time with Taylor before the new school year started. I’m glad I did because we had a blast shopping together!!

Mary’s daughter, Aja, quit her job so that she can be with her. This will greatly ease Jason’s mind. He’s been really stressing every time he has to leave her.

Kurt is getting better also. I heard last night that he is now responding to some verbal commands. He was squeezing his sister’s hand and even giving the thumbs up!! This is VERY encouraging!! His is a long road also but I am hopeful that one day they will be able to piece their lives back together. And we will be there for them every step of the way.
